Local Nets
Practice your communication skills and test your radios often by participating in Nets. Or, take your skills to a new level and participate as Net Control.
Here is a list of nets that take place in Contra Costa County.
Countywide
- The Contra Costa County Emergency Communications Nets are held on Thursday nights. After the local nets, there is a countywide net held on the WA6HAM linked system at 1920 hours. The system is 147.735 (-) central and East, 145.41 (-) South and 145.49 (-) West county. (All have pl 107.2)
- There is the High Frequency Emergency Communications Net every Thursday at 6:35 pm. The frequency is approximately 3.890 MHz and varies according to band use.
- The Contra Costa Repeater Association net is held at 7:35 p.m. Mondays. It features the Amateur Radio NEWSLINE program.
147.735- 145.49- 145.41- pl 107.2 - The Mt. Diablo Amateur Radio Club Net is held at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays.
147.060+ pl 100.0 - The Northern California SATERN Net is held at 8:00 p.m. Mondays. More information available at www.SATERN.org.
147.060+ pl 100.0 - The Contra Costa County Red Cross Net is held at 6:45-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays.

Central County
- The Central County Emergency Communications Net is held on Thursday at 1900 hours.
145.68 simplex - Martinez ARC Emergency Net – Wednesday 7 pm.
444.45+ pl 107.2 - LARS Lafayette Amateur Radio Society - Thursday 7:05 pm (concurrent with the Central County Net).
146.490 simplex - CS 245 – 9:00 a.m. Saturdays.

East County
- The Delta Amateur Radio Club net is held on Thursday at 1900 hours and is run in conjunction with the East County Emergency Communications Net.

- The South County Emergency Communications Net is held on Thursday at 1900 hours on the K6SRM repeater.

West County
- The West County Emergency Communications Net is held on Thursday at 1845 hours on the WD6EZC repeater.
145.11- pl 82.5 - KARO/ECHO Net is held on Thursday immediately after the West County Net.
146.415 simplex - Contra Costa Communications Club - The 4 C's net is 7:30 p.m. Thursdays.

High Frequency
- The High Frequency Emergency Communications Net is held every Thursday at 6:35 pm. The frequency is approximately 3.890 MHz and varies according to band use.
Other Nets
- The Side Winders On Two Net is held on Thursday and Sunday nights at 8:00 pm, with early check-ins starting about 7:30 pm.
144.250 USB. - The 25-25 Net is held on Wednesday nights at 8:00 pm. The net is always held on a frequency of 144.230 MHz USB. The net duration is approximately 1 hour, and the format includes emergency traffic, general check-ins and ragchew.
